Sophia’s intuitive process of creation erupted during the pandemic, the start of the apocolypse, the great revealing.

As her world fell away all she was left with was her creativity, her body and reflections of a fallen world. With these tools she set to work, using collage and her camera to embody the energy of the erotic feed it through her heart and create, in the space of all that has been destroyed.

Sophia works with collage, chiaroscuro, photography and ritual to explore and engage the energy of the erotic, sensuality and our relationship to it.

Her works are talismans, created as reflections of a moment in time, created by hand and infused with light and shadow, the element of light bringing to life re-purposed symbols of a world in flux.

Sophia’s work evolves off the page as she also works as a Soulful Doula and Sensual Guide assisting women to connect to their energetic sensual source, supporting creative expansion and conscious conception through her portal The Modern Erotic.
