“Womb Chasm”

This is the fifth in a series of 3D collage made with found images and Chiaroscuro.

These images are created as an illusion, base loosely on marionettes and paper theatres of childhood.

“Womb Chasm”

An adorned arm outstretched, the desire to create, the embellished mother. A pregnant body sits over a golden circle with silken fabric flowing to the earth from the skies.

The repsonsibility of the womb, how do we create with it?

As women we have to choose to fill it with life or creativity.

This glowing image represents hope amongst more challenging states, a moment of peace and stillness.

Light filled and soft in energy, this image is an ode to creation of all kinds.

A moving series, that holds different emotive states in each frame, alluding to the layers of heavy emotion that can block us from fully embodying our soul song in this life.

This is a reflection of a personal journey with my own experience of trauma at adolescence travelling from fractured to unified eros.
